Morning!!
I hope everyone is doing well. My sister let me know that my Sister Quilt Blocks got to San Diego!!! Yippeee!!! Ü Her quilt blocks should come by Monday, maybe Tuesday! I can't wait to see them! ÜÜÜ
Ed made me a hooky-type thingie to hang my quilt rulers onto instead of having them on the floor. (I cracked one which really ticked me off, so I asked Ed to come to my rescue!) I could of bought one on eBay, online or even at JoAnn's Fabrics, but they are really expensive!!! I can't see spending $12.00 on something Ed could make for a $1.00 Ü I don't have a large sewing 'room' as you might guess. It's about 4' x 6'. So I need to conserve space. A while back I made myself a thread and scrap holder. It frustrated me that I had to keep making body and arm adjustments to toss thread and scraps away. And since my sewing room is limited, I wanted something close by and handy. I found a similar 'thread catcher' on a quilting blog, but it wouldn't work for me. The ladies catcher was much larger than what I needed, and it hung from a drawer on her sewing table. I have a sewing table, but it would have been REALLY inconvenient to place a catcher on the drawer. So, I took a wire clothes hanger, shaped it into a circle, then took a fat quarter scrap and turned it into a thread catcher. I needed to make one side of the catcher heavy so I made a pouch and filled it with some microbeads. It turned out nice and is perfect for what I needed.
Ed painted for a while today on the shed. He was tired when got done, he's not use to that much exercise. Poor guy, I think he used muscles he hasn't used in a long time.
Well, I'm gonna get going. You all have a good Saturday!
Love you!
